Med Headlines - There’s good news for the millions of women who have been left with breast defects after having cancerous lumps removed. A Japanese study released this week shows that stem cells from liposuctioned fat can be used to treat breast defects in women who have had cancerous lumps removed. The study was presented at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. The company that developed the treatment, Cytori Therapeutics, plans larger studies in Europe and Japan next year. Read more
