RE: Danger in the Air Darcy Spears report,
The CDC is now investigating and will be
doing a study on how the home health care
companies are ripping us off with filthy
filters causing death of elderly patients
from the bacteria which grows in the filter
that he not replaced by the home health care
company. That is what Western Home Care
in Las Vegas did to us.

If you have a relative or anyone you know
on an oxygen concentrator, check the HEPA filter
you may save their life. Also, please email me
so we can included it in the CDC study.

Be pro active and raise awareness.

Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

Bobby,

Just want you to know that the State of Nevada Investigator
found that the concentrator that was given to my husband, John, was used by eight patients over a three year period
without having the filter replaced or changed out.
It was also found that the machine was "dropped off to the
Western Home Care warehouse in 2008 by a tourist from Florida. It was then assigned to my husband.

After weeks of illness, it was found that a bacteria vegetated to John's heart valve. He had his valve replaced.
He has had bacterial pneomonia twice. He is now carrying
eleven antibodies in his system.
ASPERGILLUS
BLASTOMYCES
CORYNEBACTERIUM AFERMENTANS (3 MASSES FOUND ON VALVE)
CHALAMYDIA
COCCIDIOIDES
COXIELLA BURNETII (causes Q fever which is phylogenetically
                   related to pseudomonas>)
HISTOPLASMA
MACOBACTERIUM AVIUM COMPLEX (MAC)
PANCYTOPENIA
PSITTACOSIS

If you look any of these up, they are deadly, and will cause
significant and fatal diseases to humans.

If any one knows of an INFECTIOUS DISEASE EXPERT, please
let me know.

After mid January, 2012, the State Investigator
the case to the Board of Counsel for the State of Nevada.

I will keep you posted.

If anyone has any questions, please email me.

An impressive share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a little analysis on this. And he in fact purchased me breakfast because I discovered it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love studying extra on this topic. If possible, as you grow to be experience, would you thoughts updating your blog with more particulars? It is extremely helpful for me. Big thumb up for this blog publish!

Another user and advocate for moderated use of spironolactone, here.

Seska's link was really helpful to read. (http://monographs.iarc.fr/ENG/Monographs/vol79/mono79-13.pdf)
The article says that the rats developed tumors at 100mg/kg... I take 100mg per day and am about 54kg, or 120lbs. In one case, mixing spiro with another carcinogenic drug actually lowered the risk of cancer significantly.

Although well-meaning, I truly believe the "diet and hygiene and exercise" people are misinformed. Spiro is used to treat a hormonal imbalance in the skin. This is not due to improper hygiene or cutting out sugars and meat. I should know. I've tried it all for 18 years. I know my data point doesn't prove anything, but this is the outcry of so many people who have suffered the same condition I have. The doc who wrote this clearly doesn't have personal experience.

Is the minute risk of tumor worth the freedom from mental anguish? Only suffers of cystic acne can tell you. When I discovered it, I couldn't tell you what happiness I felt, and some sort of sadness that I hadn't heard about it sooner. That's how much persistent acne had ruined a part of my life.

All in all, it's probably best to avoid anything that causes harmful effects to our bodies. But we take calculated risks if the benefits outweigh the bad. I see a lot of women proclaiming the greatness of spironolactone, but we should be careful of the potential damage it carries. That is why I think the link to the study was really helpful to read. The best decision is an informed one, and more studies like this should be accessible.
