Adverse events reported in Germany include extremely low blood pressure and increased heart rate. No fatalities have been reported. These adverse effects are similar to those associated with heparin produced by Baxter.

Since January 1, 2007, the FDA has received 785 reports of adverse reactions and 19 deaths possibly linked to heparin produced by Baxter. Recently, the active ingredient suspected of producing these serious incidents, has been linked to facilities in China.
