I bet over half of the laptops that are claimed to be stolen, the owner actually just left it at the starbucks and can't find it anymore. When it's stolen, it isn't their fault anymore that all of these records got out. I don't know the latest numbers, but there were a lot of "stolen" laptops last year that contained more important information than the above. Imagine how many "stolen" laptops there will be when the government starts handing out Macbook Airs! Stolen laptop, or misplaced laptop?
